Vision plans typically cover routine eye exams, including a prescription for glasses. We offer additional services that can be added to your eye exam:
Routine Exam (Vision Plan Copays Apply): Includes a retinal evaluation with dilating eye drops.
Healthy Eyes Exam (Additional Copay): Add Ultra Wide-Field Retinal Imaging with OPTOS California to your routine exam.
Healthy Eyes Exam PLUS (Additional Copay): Add Ultra Wide-Field Retinal Imaging with OPTOS California and OCT Advanced Retinal Scanning to your routine exam.
A contact lens prescription can be added to a routine eye exam to obtain a valid contact lens prescription. Our comprehensive evaluation ensures you receive the most comfortable and effective lenses tailored to your vision needs. We assess your eye shape, corneal curvature, and vision requirements to determine the best contact lenses for you. This service includes trial lenses, personalized adjustments, and follow-up visits to ensure optimal fit and performance.
Please note that an additional service fee applies for contact lens fittings. Some vision plans may offer benefits towards this service.
Our routine eye exams are enhanced with the OPTOS California, a state-of-the-art tool providing comprehensive ultra wide-field retinal imaging. OPTOS California is a retinal scan that can aid in the detection of retinal conditions.
Benefits:
Recommendation: Yearly retinal evaluations using OPTOS California are advised for patients of all ages as part of their routine eye health screening.
*Dilating drops may be recommended by your doctor on a case by case basis depending on imaging results and exam findings.
Comprehensive Retina Screening with Maestro OCT
Our Healthy Eyes PLUS Exam features OPTOS California for wide-field retinal imaging and Maestro OCT for high-resolution, cross-sectional retina scans. OCT provides a detailed view of the retina's layers, detecting subtle issues like swelling or thinning that may be missed with standard imaging. This B-scan technology complements ultra wide-field imaging, offering a thorough analysis for early diagnosis and effective management of retinal conditions.
Medical Insurance Exams
Medical insurance can be used for specific eye health concerns that are not related to a glasses prescription. Note that, due to restrictions set by insurance companies, vision plans and medical insurance cannot be used at the same appointment.
Since our mission is to ensure all patients have access to timely care, medical insurance coverage is not required to be seen at our office.
